Nick Jr. launches in Thailand

BANGKOK - Viacom International Media Networks Asia has launched Nick Jr. in Thailand, through entertainment and media conglomerate group GMM Grammy.

The launch marks the latest expansion of the channel in Asia, following its launches in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Mongolia last year.

Broadcast on GMM Grammy's new 1-Sky broadcasting platform, the commercial-free, English educational channel for preschoolers is targeted at preschoolers and parents. With the philosophy of ‘play-to-learn’, it aims to stimulate, educate, involve, excite and develop enquiring minds to engage and encourage early childhood development.

Among the programmes it broadcasts are Dora the Explorer; Go, Diego, Go!; Little Bill; Ni Hao, Kai-Lan and Blue’s Clues. Nick Jr. is the first children’s channel to debut on 1-Sky’s broadcasting platform and will be available 24 hours a day to 1-Sky’s Entertainment package and Combo package subscribers.
