As chief executive officer of OMG Philippines, Gabunada Jr. will be responsible for driving growth and the success of OMD, PHD and M2M in the country.

Hermie De Leon stepped down as president and CEO of OMG Philippines in February after seven years with the network, to join MPG Philippines.

Gabunada Jr. has more than 20 years experience in media management, sales and marketing, business development, research and business analysis, and public relations.

Most recently he was a freelance business and marketing consultant following a stint as senior vice-president of integrated sales and marketing at ABS-CBN in the Philippines.

Gabunada Jr. said he hopes to push Omnicom Media Group Philippines to become “the best in the industry”.

He said, “It’s a challenging role, one that was strong enough to convince me to go back to the corporate world full steam. I look forward to pushing the boundaries of success and ensuring that each of Omnicom Media Group's brands wins in the market.”

Barry Cupples, CEO of Omnicom Media Group Asia-Pacific, added, “Nic is the perfect candidate to lead Omnicom Media Group in the Philippines to ensure we continue to deliver our objective of being the very best we can be across all of our operations.”
