NetEase extends online footprint

BEIJING - Chinese internet and gaming company NetEase has extended its online footprint through the launch of several products that emulate digital staples in the West.

According to local reports, NetEase has launched platforms that include Wikipedia- and Twitter-esque services.

Netease is also slated to launch a digital shopping service, a question-and-answer forum an online music search service this month via subsidiary Youdao.com.
