Singapore-based Rapley is responsible for the strategic and creative development of MediaCom’s Brand Entertainment offering to clients. She fills the role vacated by Preeti Kumar’s move within GroupM to a regional role at Mindshare.

Before joining MediaCom, she spent 11 years working as a TV producer in London.

In the past, Rapley has worked on programmes for major UK channels including BBC, ITV, Sky One and Five. She also spent two years working as a producer in the Westminster bureau of Sky News. More recently, she was executive producer of Barclaycard’s Unwind TV, producing 18 shows over the three-day Wireless music festival in 2010.

Rapley moved into the branded content arena six years ago, working on four 24-hour branded TV channels on the Sky platform, three from start-up. She was director of programmes on London TV and deputy director of programmes on Eat Cinema, a movie channel launched in association with the cinema industry. She has also produced and directed films for clients including Reebok, Barclays Global Retail Bank and Salesforce.

Alex Crowther, CEO of MediaCom Asia-Pacific, said, “We’re very lucky to have Angela as part of the team. Her unique experience in this space, from concept to implementation, will ensure that our clients continue to enjoy the very best in innovation and programme management from MediaCom”.
