Marescialli (pictured) has lived and worked in Beijing since 1995. He brings to Brand Union 12 years of experience in branding and communications, having previously worked as a media and communications professional before founding and leading the operations of Standards Group, a Beijing-based boutique design and branding studio, from 2002 to 2011.

Most recently he was a branding consultant.

During his career, Marescialli has developed branding and design expertise with clients including Shangri-la Group, Hilton, Swire Properties, Pacific Century-PCCW, IKEA, Hyundai, GE, Scandinavian Airlines and Star Alliance.

“As our world continues to get smaller, Mauro’s international background coupled with his extensive China experience results in a winning formula for helping Chinese brands excel domestically and internationally, and Western brands to succeed in China,” said Monica Lee, managing director of The Brand Union, China.

A native of Rome Marescialli speaks Mandarin Chinese, English and Italian. He holds an MA in Chinese Language and Literature from the University of Rome.

The Brand Union entered China in 1999 as the first global branding agency in the mainland market. The agency’s Shanghai office opened in late 2001 and the Beijing office opened in 2006.

The Brand Union’s clients include many leading Chinese companies as well as international brands such as COFCO Property, China Construction Bank, Reckitt Benckiser, Unilever Food Solutions and Kraft Foods.
