MasterCard eyes growth in Greater China with Chang

Ex-McCann Erickson Taiwan EVP and chief strategy director Hope Chang has been named marketing manager for MasterCard, as the brand expands in Greater China, to tap the market's potential.

Chang is charged with developing marketing strategies to extend the brand in China. She will work closely with MasterCard's AOR, McCann Erickson, to oversee the execution of activities aimed at increasing revenue and profit. "In China, we work closely with customer financial institutions, merchants and industry players to create and implement unique marketing programmes to further reach out to cardholders," said Chang. She added that she will be liaising with the brand's global and regional management and marketing teams to ensure that the company's brand positioning is executed effectively. Prior to joining MasterCard, Chang was in charge of the MasterCard Greater China account during her five years at McCann. She has also spent time with Bates as EVP, and United Communication Group.
