A native of Taiwan, Lee (pictured) has been working in China's hotel industry for over five years, and was most recently director of sales and marketing at JC Mandarin Hotel in Shanghai.

Apart from focusing on building partnerships and sales opportunities in the domestic market while capitalising on the growing outbound business from China, Lee will also play a key role in supporting the new hotels both before and after the opening as well as working closely with existing properties to drive new business.

Lee will report to Alison Styles, VP of sales.

“The creation of this key sales appointment demonstrates how important we view China and its future potential. Her appointment will allow us to pursue key growth opportunities in the region as part of our company strategy,” said Styles.

The appointment coincides with the opening of Langham's third hotel in the country, Langham Place in China at Beijing Capital Airport. China is one of the company's fastest growing markets.

The Langham Hotel Group has three hotels in Shanghai and Beijing. The Langham, Xintiandi, Shanghai will have its grand opening on 1 October. In addition, another four hotels will open in Beijing and Guangzhou over the next two to three years.
