The TV-led campaign stars Lee Young-Ae and promotes the benefits of Cheong-Kwan-Jang ginseng, which is believed to have healing and balancing qualities. The 30-second spot was shot in Shanghai and Mongolia by Taiwanese director Wayne Peng.

"Lee is an icon of health, elegance and beauty, and these characteristics fit well with the profile of Cheong-Kwan-Jang," said Korea Ginseng CEO Suh Won-Suk. "Her role in the TV drama has made her a very popular celebrity in Asia."

Dae Jang Geum is one of the highest-rating TV shows in Korea and launched in Hong Kong and Taiwan this year. It will be broadcast in China via Hunan TV in late 2005.
