Jonathan Ip rejoins Saatchi & Saatchi Shanghai as new digital creative head

SHANGHAI - Jonathan Ip has rejoined Saatchi & Saatchi as head of digital creative after stints at BBDO and Proximity China.

Ip (pictured) was formerly digital creative director at BBDO Proximity China for a year. Before that, he cut his teeth with Saatchi & Saatchi Guangzhou from 2006 to 2010.

The agency told Campaign this new hire furthers its commitment to the Chinese digital creative field even though it is not officially merging its traditional and digital divisions yet.
 
Fan Ng, executive creative director of Saatchi & Saatchi Shanghai, explained the agency will "push the boundaries to provide integrated business solutions" owing to client demands.
 
Ip will work on projects for PPTV and Nippon. Managing director Michael Lee said that he would play an important role in strengthening the agency's digital capabilities in Shanghai.
 
Ip claims to specialise in creating user-centric online experiences, interface design, eCommerce websites, 'advergaming' and online marketing campaigns.

His client portfolio has included General Electric, Crest, Mead Johnson, Nippon Paint, Nike Basketball, Ann Taylor Loft, Tylenol, Novartis, Hallmark Entertainment, Kodak, Intel, Schindler Lifts, Hennessy, Grand Marnier, Tiffany, and Eastsidaz.
