Founded in 2009, Emerald provides full digital marketing services, including consulting, strategic planning, digital creative production, social media, community management, SEM and online reputation management, as well as integrated digital communication campaigns.

It has worked with clients including Heineken, Samsung, BMW, Air France, Rhoto, Holcim, Ajinomoto and Kaspersky.

Ashish Bhasin, chairman India and CEO Southeast Asia at Aegis Media, said the group hopes to revolutionise the "hugely important and fast-growing market" through the affliliation.

"A lot of clients are going into Vietnam, and we need to go into the country quickly too," he told Campaign Asia-Pacific. "Setting up an agency organically takes time. Emerald is a full-service digital agency and they have the scale and experience, and hence we decided to appoint them as Isobar's official affiliate there."

This appointment also marks Aegis Media’s expansion in the country. The group’s media agency Carat entered the market by partnering with Vietnam Marketing Center (VMC) in 2009. It handles clients like Nokia, General Motors, Adidas, Philips and Total in Vietnam.

“The partnership with Isobar is a great landmark in our business from which Emerald is empowered to invigorate our service excellence to a global merit standard,” Denise Thi, managing director of Emerald Digital Marketing, said. “That definitely benefits mutual clients of Isobar and Emerald.”
