Henkel picks MEC Malaysia for media duties

KUALA LUMPUR – Cosmetics brand Henkel has appointed MEC to handle its retail hair care business in Malaysia, following a competitive pitch.

MEC Malaysia will now be responsible for all media planning and buying assignments for Henkel’s portfolio, which includes brands like Schwarzkopf.

The appointment comes as Henkel looks to grow it presence in the Malaysian market.

Sascha Knoepfel, Henkel media manager for Asia-Pacific, said, “We are aware that Henkel is a very demanding client towards all our media agencies worldwide, and especially in our growth region of Asia-Pacific."
