Google AdSense for Bahasa Indonesia launched

JAKARTA - Google has unveiled its Bahasa-language option under the AdSense advertising network, allowing brands to reach out to their audiences through contextually-targeted advertisements in Bahasa Indonesia.

With the launch of this long-awaited language support, Adsense-supported sites in Bahasa will have appeal to local advertisers and visitors. The move is expected to attract 150,000 advertisers and advertising networks to launch their advertisements in Bahasa Indonesia.

Indonesia has the biggest number of AdSense publishers in the Asia Pacific region, with Bahasa Indonesia becoming the fifth local language supported in the region, after Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai.

This is the second business move by Google, after the launch of its Indonesian Twitter account in June last year. AdSense allows publishers to get paid by displaying targeted and contextual Google ads on custom search results pages or their own websites.
