Forbes Thailand is targeted at middle-managers and entrepreneurs. Post Publishing’s subsidiary Post International Media is a leading magazine publisher, selling titles such as Elle and Marie Claire. Forbes Thailand will print 100,000 copies, of which it expects 50 per cent to go to annual subscribers.

According to a news report in the Bangkok Post, Forbes Thailand is part of the company’s strategy to expand into the men’s magazine market, with a focus on business, investment, fashion, gadgets and cars. The report said the company will also launch Fast Bikes Thailand and Cycling Plus Thailand.

“Thailand is one of ASEAN’s most dynamic economies, and Forbes Thailand will serve the growing community of tycoons, CEOs, investors and aspiring entrepreneurs,” said William Adamopoulos, CEO Asia of Forbes Media.

Veteran journalist Nopporn Wonganan, previously at the Bangkok Post, The Asian Wall Street Journal and Reuters, will be editor-in-chief of Forbes Thailand.

Forbes has been expanding its reach in Asia. Earlier it launched licensing partnerships in China, Korea, India and Indonesia. At present, it has a combined circulation of 370,000 in Asia.
