Edelman and Zeno Group parent names Greater China leader

Daniel J. Edelman Holdings, the parent company of Edelman and Zeno, has appointed Hong Qu as president of DJE Greater China. He will lead Edelman and Zeno Group in China in addition to his current role as Zeno China Consulting founder and CEO.

In his new capacity, Qu is tasked with crafting the strategic direction for DJE Holdings’ entities in Greater China. He aims to capitalise on the unique capabilities of both Edelman and Zeno brands to foster growth, enhance client engagement, and bolster the overall reputation. Prior to this, Qu served as the CEO of BCW China and co-founded Zeno China Consulting with Zeno last October, marking a collaborative venture.

Edelman and Zeno Group are set to maintain their independent operations. Qu’s tenure as President will commence in June, under the oversight of a management board that includes Edelman APAC CEO Warren Fernandez, Zeno’s regional president for APAC Paul Mottram, Zeno’s global CEO Barby K. Siegel, and Edelman’s international president Ed Williams.

Richard Edelman, the Chairman of DJE Holdings, emphasised the company’s adaptive strategy: “As others opt for consolidation, we’re advancing to address the evolving demands of Chinese and international firms in the region. Our extensive experience and scale uniquely equip us to deliver substantial value to Chinese brands seeking global reach and clients aspiring to penetrate the Chinese market.”

The position of Greater China president at Edelman was previously held by Pully Chau, who departed last June. Chau transitioned to Edelman in 2021 from Cheil, where she was the group CEO for China at Cheil Worldwide.
