The pitch is schedule for the end of November, and will cover media buying and planning as well as digital. Agencies will need to do the pitch presentations for both the Peugeot and Citroen automtive brands, separately.

Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Company, or DPCA, is a 50/50 joint venture between leading Chinese car producer Dongfeng Motor Corporation and French car company Peugeot S.A.

The company's manufacturing, component, and castings plant in Wuhan, China, produces 300,000 vehicles and 400,000 engines per year. DPCA's seven models include the Citroën Fukang, Elysee, Picasso, Triomphe, Xsara, and the Peugeot 307 and 206. It also imports French models, including the Citroën C5 and C4 and the Peugeot 407, 607, 206cc, and 307cc.

Last May, DPCA broke ground for its third plant in Wuhan, China

“The start of construction at Wuhan 3 is an important step in PSA Peugeot Citroën’s expansion in China," Grégoire Olivier member of the managing board of PSA Peugeot Citroën and executive vice president, Asia commented said. “With this new plant, DPCA will have an annual production capacity of 750,000 vehicles in 2015. DPCA will be able to grow with demand and increase its market share in China, with a target for 2015 of 5 per cent."

DPCA’s sales rose by 15 per cent in the first quarter of 2011, to more than 100,000 vehicles.

Reported last August, Saatchi & Saatchi Shanghai won the creative agency-of-record account for Citroen China's new Citroen DS model, following a two-round pitch in May. Citroen has a joint venture with China Chang’an Automobile Group in China, which will produce the premium line of Citroen DS model, due to reach the market in the first quarter of next year.

Reported in November 2010, Euro RSCG took home the creative agency of record account for Dong Feng Peugeot 508, the car brand's first domestically-manufactured mid-high end sedan that was released in mid-2011. Euro RSCG is the global alignment agency for PSA Peugeot Citroen.
