According to sources, agencies including G2, Ogilvy and Rapp are believed to be involved in the review process, which began in December.

Diageo China is expected to announce its decision at the end of the month, sources added.

The account is to cover all of the alcohol giant’s CRM duties across the market.

Diageo’s global and local-market alcohol brands include Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Baileys, Captain Morgan, Cuervo and Tanqueray.

Last month, Diageo China hired WE Marketing to do a one-off campaign to expand consumption of its Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky in the market, and earlier in the year, Johnnie Walker moved its marketing services account out of Euro RSCG after the creative agency won Chivas.

Diageo China currently works with BBH for its above-the-line business while OgilvyOne handles its digital account.
