Brett Stewart joins OMG as managing partner for OMD International

HONG KONG - After resigning from the global managing partner role at McCann Worldgroup in charge of the Cathay-Pacific's media interest, Brett Stewart will join OMD International, OMD’s specialist unit that manages multinational client assignment in Asia- Pacific.

Joining as managing partner effective 3 July, Stewart will be based in Hong Kong and report to Jackson Kwok, CEO, Omnicom Media Group, Hong Kong, and Torie Henderson, president, global account management, Omnicom Media Group, Asia Pacific. 

The agency said that apart from leading the expansion of OMD International through the Hong Kong hub, Stewart will be helping to deliver the best possible media results for key global clients through his understanding of consumer insights, strategy and channels.

With more than 25 years in the advertising industry, Stewart has extensive communications planning experience in a wide range of categories like packaged goods, technology, luxury goods and aviation.

Henderson said, “Increasing OMD International’s presence in key local markets like Hong Kong is part of our plan to deliver world-class solutions to our client partners. With his extensive experience, Brett is ideally suited to lead this practice in Hong Kong, and I welcome Brett’s arrival in OMD.”

Commenting on his appointment, Stewart said, “OMD has a fantastic reputation with a broad base of blue chip business and a proven track record of winning new accounts. I am very much looking forward to this new opportunity."

McCann Worldgroup confirmed Stewart's resignation on 19 April.
