JAKARTA – Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) is on the search for a media and creative agency for its savings products.

Bank Rakyat Indonesia has launched a pitch in search of a full service agency to handle an integrated media and creative campaign for its savings segment for the Indonesian market.

A spokesperson from the BRI says it has invited eight agencies to pitch for the account, with the first round of presentations taking place next week.

BRI's incumbent creative agency is Adwork, and in 2008. the bank appointed Euro RSCG for its creative business while MPG Indonesia handled its media business.

Bank Rakyat Indonesia, which dates back to 1895, is one of Indonesia’s oldest banks, and has the widest network in the country.

The second largest state lender by assets reported nine month net profits of IDR 6.657 trillion (US$ 653,000), up 26 per cent, backed by strong loan growth.

The bank has a market capitalisation of US$15.7 billion and recently allocated IDR 1 to 2 trillion (US$ 113,000 to 226,000)  for the acquisition of two small lenders, PT Bank Agroniaga and PT Bank Bukopin.
