Peachey will be part of a core team working to build Engine into a major international communications business, the company said. Working alongside group CEO Peter Scott and group finance director Peter Harris, the new recruit will be asked to identify, acquire and integrate new partner companies, particularly in Asia and the US.

Peachey will also be responsible for the coordination of business development, commercial, marketing and back office activities between Engine’s different regional teams around the world.

Peachey has been with the Engine group since November 2007, when the business he co-founded , Digital Public, joined the group.

Before forming Digital Public, Peachey worked in a variety of roles for Virgin Media including establishing and running an interactive TV agency and developing the business that is now the UK’s leading supplier of electronic TV guide data for set top boxes.
