Under the leadership of Sherborn (pictured), ACP’s Asian portfolio has grown to include 18 magazines published in four languages across five countries, including market-leading editions of Cleo in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand; editions of The Women’s Weekly in Singapore and Malaysia; and editions of Cosmopolitan and Harper’s Bazaar with joint venture partners Hearst Magazines International.

The company’s custom print and digital portfolio includes the suite of in-flight magazines published by ACP in Hong Kong on behalf of Cathay Pacific Airways and Dragonair.

Sherborn joined ACP in 1992 as inaugural editor-in-chief of the Singapore edition of Elle magazine. She was promoted to managing director within three years and later to chief executive officer, Asia.

She will remain a consultant to ACP in Hong Kong after she steps down as CEO in mid-September.

Mathew Stanton, ACP Magazines’ CEO, praised Sherborn’s significant contribution. “Her high standards of media professionalism, commitment and some terrific ideas were pivotal to our success in the region," he said. "We are sorry to see her leave but understand her decision and wish her every success with her future endeavours.”

Murphy will become managing director of ACP Magazines Asia effective 1 September. He has more than 10 years of broad print media, online and digital experience, including his current post as group general manager for ACP’s online and digital subscription business, Magshop. Prior to that he was group general manager of Network Services, Australia’s largest newsstand and subscription management business, for more than five years.

Meanwhile, Deborah Thomas,  ACP's director of media, public affairs and brand development, adds to her existing responsibilities with Sherborn’s board and brand positioning roles at Post International Media-ACP, publisher of Cleo Thailand, as well as a range of licensing businesses across the Asia-Pacific region.
