Bala Pomaleh succeeds Roy Tan as Carat Malaysia CEO

KUALA LUMPUR - Carat Malaysia has announced Bala Pomaleh as its new CEO, succeeding Roy Tan, who moves to head up Jumptank, a unit designed to foster innovation.

Pomaleh was previously CEO of Poterscope Malaysia. He has more than 20 years experience across the media, research and out-of-home media planning industries.

Margaret Lim, executive chairman of Aegis Media Group, described Pomaleh as a “visionary” with a proven track record.

She said, “He has the right operational and communication skills, and leadership abilities to bring Carat to the next level.”

Tan, who has been with Carat for nine years, will now head Jumptank, described as a group that acts as a “catalyst for innovation” for Aegis clients.

Lim added, “Under his leadership, Carat has undergone an impressive turnaround and its competitiveness improved significantly.”
