GLOBAL – Philips Electronics has launched a review of its US$100 million global digital advertising account.

Tribal DDB is the incumbent on the account. The agency’s online video for Philips ‘Carousel’ won the film Grand Prix at Cannes last year.

The company appointed Carat as its global media agency-of-record to handle all traditional and digital duties following a review in 2007. DDB manages the brand’s creative output.

In Asia, the electronics giant’s ad spend equals US$89 million. According to Media’s recent Top 1000 brands report, Philips’ ad spend is broken down by US$69 million in China, US$14 million in India and US$4 million in Japan.
