Five networks make Campaign's Agency of the Year shortlist

ASIA-PACIFIC - Campaign Asia-Pacific has released the shortlist for its Agency of the Year awards, with five advertising and six media agency networks making the cut.

For the Creative Agency Network of the Year prize, BBDO Asia-Pacific, DDB Group Asia-Pacific, Leo Burnett Asia-Pacific, Ogilvy & Mather Asia-Pacific, and TBWA Asia-Pacific have been included in the shortlist.

Carat Asia-Pacific, MediaCom Asia-Pacific, Mindshare, OMD, PHD Asia-Pacific, and ZenithOptimedia Asia-Pacific will compete in the final stage for the Media Agency Network of the Year award.

Shortlists have also been assembled for the Digital Agency Network of the Year and Specialist Agency Network of the Year awards. There are also seprate awards, and shortlists, for sub-regional awards covering Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Greater China, India and the Subcontinent, and North Asia.

Among the individual prizes on offer is the Asia-Pacific Agency Head of the Year. Chris Thomas (BBDO Asia-Pacific), John Zeigler (DDB Group Asia-Pacific), Jean Lin (Isobar Asia-Pacific), Paul Heath (Ogilvy & Mather Asia-Pacific), and Barry Cupples (Omnicom Media Group) are on the shortlist for this award.

The winners of the individual awards for sub-regional sections have also been included in today's announcement.

In Australia and New Zealand, Toby Talbot, of DDB New Zealand, won the Creative of the Year, while Toby Jenner, of MediaCom, won Agency Head of the Year.

In Greater China, Yang Yeo, of JWT Shanghai, won the Creative of the Year, while Melvyn Goh, of Mindshare China, won Agency Head of the Year.

In the India and Subcontinent sub-region, the award for Creative of the Year went to Bobby Pawar,  of Mudra Communications. Mudra's CEO Madhukar Kamath also won Agency Head of the Year for the sub-region.

In Southeast Asia, Joji Jacob, of DDB Singapore, has been named Creative of the Year, while his boss David Tang will take home the Agency Head of the Year for the sub-region.
