Zenith wins Red Bull in China

BEIJING - ZenithOptimedia Beijing has won the media account for energy drink Red Bull in China without a pitch, displacing incumbent of three years Maxus.

According to CTR, the brand’s monitored billings in the market stand at Rmb 487 million (US$71.3 million).

The China Red Bull brand originated from Thailand, where ZenithOptimedia has handled the account for many years. Red Bull in the rest of the world originates from Austria and has a different formula.

The energy-boosting drink targets students and white-collar workers.
