Wu leaves Iris to rejoin Ogilvy China

BEIJING - Ogilvy has appointed Peony Wu (pictured) to head up its digital and direct media unit, Neo@Ogilvy, in Greater China as managing director.

Wu leaves Iris to rejoin Ogilvy China
Her appointment comes just four months after she joined Iris to head up its newly opened Beijing office.

According to a statement from the agency, Wu will be responsible for the implementation of strategic development plans and for overall operational efficiency in the newly created role. She will also drive new business as the firm looks to build its client portfolio.

She will work alongside China managing director Pope Li, and report to Chris Reitermann, president of OgilvyOne China and Ogilvy & Mather Group Shanghai.

In the statement, Susana Tsui, Neo@Oglivy’s regional president, said that Wu’s hire was “a significant part of our initiative to strengthen the regional network”.

Wu joined Iris from Motorola in March. Prior to working as regional marketing director at Motorola, Wu spent six years at OgilvyOne, where she was China vice-president.

Separately, Neo has appointed Addin Lim, formerly national finance director of OgilvyOne China, as chief operating officer. He will report to Wu and Reitermann.
