SpongeBob reaches Chinese web

BEIJING - Nickelodeon has launched a Chinese-language website for its popular animation character SpongeBob Squarepants.

SpongeBob reaches Chinese web
Haimianbaobao.net goes this week to coincide with International Children’s Day, organised by the International Union for Children Welfare (Geneva).

China also traditionally celebrates Children’s Day on the same date.

The site’s launch comes two months after the global launch of SpongeBob.com. Like SpongeBob.com, Haimianbaobao.net will feature SpongeBob-related games, event updates, wallpapers, icons, character guides, an image gallery and widgets for desktop and web.

New visitors to the site can also sign up for membership and subscribe to SpongeBob news alerts.
