The retooled website follows the launch of SingTel's mobile portal in May as part of its efforts to boost its digital presence in the region. The telecommunications company added that another focus was to drive user engagement with its range of content.

John Kyriakou, managing director of Leo Burnett Group Singapore explained that the MobileTV website was designed based on the most current web trends and user behaviour. The site features an info-graphics video to introduce new users to SingTel MobileTV, and an SMS activation service that integrates with the mobile service for a well-rounded user experience.

"We wanted to bring across a cinematic feel while showcasing the large amount of content available - from dramas and movies to variety shows," Kyriakou noted.

"As a mobile platform that offers a complementary TV entertainment option, we needed to showcase that the large amount of content on offer can easily be accessed by our mobile subscribers through the Mobile portal. The site’s purpose was also to enable users to discover new exciting content and the latest highlights,” explained Benjamin Foo, manager of NGTV content and marketing, SingTel Multimedia Group.
