Senior hires at George P. Johnson Singapore

The agency expands its senior leadership and client servicing team.

Event and experiential marketing agency George P. Johnson has made senior hires in its Singapore outpost as the agency expands its leadership and client servicing teams.

Ben Chong joins as executive creative director; Chong has a penchant for brand building and over 20 years of experience with a most recent stint at Anthem Worldwide as regional strategy director. He’s also worked in Interbrand and Landor in the past.

Meanwhile, Desiree Wu joins as group account director after clocking in 24 years of experience across business and client operations, brand marketing, PR and organisational development. In the past, she’s had roles in Qantas, Cisco, American Express, Thread, POSSIBLE and VML.

Coming in as head of operations is Melanie Ricketts who has had prior experience in Jack Morton Worldwide, Telstra, Optus and cievents. Ricketts is specialised in developing, driving and implementing strategic and creative solutions for clients.

Andrew Churchill will join as account director with having previously worked at Jack Morton Worldwide, Uniplan, The Arcade Creative and SEALS. Churchill has had a decade of experience in the business of live events, brand experiences, and entertainment.

Joining as creative director is Andrew Larvin who has worked for global clients such as Rolls-Royce, P&G, Mastercard, and HSBC. He most recently worked on Nike Unlimited Stadium, a cross-agency project that bagged 15 Cannes Lions.
