He will be responsible for business development, with a remit that encompasses creative, digital and branded content to add value to both current and new clients. He will report to Pat Lim, managing director of UM and Initiative, Singapore.

Commenting on the appointment, Lim said, “It’s great to have such an accomplished individual to join the team.  We’re particularly excited to leverage Ray’s experience developing and managing campaigns that span across Asia Pacific.”

Pak was most recently with Starcom, whereby he was the executive director to oversee a variety of key multinational and local accounts in the agency in June. He handled regional and local accounts such as the Republic of Singapore Navy, Tiger Airways, Bank of America, Carlson, ANZ, National Environment Agency and Subway.

He was part of the team behind reality show HP Space, a campaign that spanned all of Asia Pacific. He has also worked with procurement, serving as the lead account steward for Abbott Nutrition’s regional pitch, which PHD APAC subsequently won for three markets, including Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines.

He has more than 13 years of experience in the advertising industry, having begun his career as a copywriter and web producer. Over the years, he has developed expertise as a media specialist.

Pak received the Young Media Professional award, from the Singapore Media Advertising board in 2007, as well as several awards for his advertising work such as the SMA for Best Use of Search for Tiger Airways.

Pak said, “I’m very glad to have such a great organisation that I can call home.  Mediabrands is growing stronger in the region, and with my background and the organisation’s tools, we are set to accomplish great things.”
