Pioneer Electronics entrusts new agency with social media duties

ASIA-PACIFIC - Pioneer Electronics has named independent shop Done Asia Pacific as its social media agency to launch two Facebook campaigns that will be rolled out across the region and the Middle East.

Pioneer Electronics entrusts new agency with social media duties

For Pioneer, the aim is to increase its regional social media presence for its car entertainment business and create new ways to engage with new and existing consumers, said Alessandro Carniel, MD of Done Asia Pacific. The two campaigns will play out across six months on both Facebook and Instagram.

Done won the business without a pitch. “We decided to go with Done Asia Pacific as they have successfully managed several regional accounts here in Asia Pacific,” said Isao Nomura, deputy GM for business planning and marketing with Pioneer Electronics. "We are confident of their ability to deliver and look forward to the results of the campaign.”

Done is an independently owned full-service social media agency, part of Done Group. Launched in Singapore in 2013, the agency runs campaigns across the Southeast Asian countries for local and regional clients including Nutella, Tic Tac, Kinder Bueno and Kinder Joy.

According to Carniel, the acquisition of the Pioneer business presents a great opportunity for a young social-media agency to put its creative ideas to the test.
