Omnicom Media Group (OMG) Thailand has revamped leadership, promoted key executives, and restructured its management in a bid to tighten its grip on the competitive Thai market.

Jinnarat Sampuntharat, formerly managing director of OMD Thailand, has been elevated to the role of chief operating officer of OMG Thailand. As part of the remit, Sampuntharat will be at the helm of day-to-day operations and will work directly with CEO Rochelle Chhaya and CFO Noppadol Vetvoranich to drive the agency’s growth agenda.

The promotion is part of a broader effort to strengthen the leadership bench rather than replace outgoing staff. The agency says the headcount has grown over 35% in the last two years.

Simultaneously, the group has appointed Rerngrith Jindaporn as general manager of OMD Thailand. Jindaporn’s mandate includes growth acceleration, streamlining operations, and forging stronger client relationships in a market that demands agility and innovation. Additionally, Pittayaphan Sriweawnetr has been handed expanded duties as head of insights and marcomms for OMG Thailand.

New management committee formed

A new management committee has also been formed to tighten operational control and ensure aligned leadership across business verticals.

• OMG Thailand CEO Rochelle Chhaya
• OMG Thailand COO, Jinnarat Sampuntharat
• OMD Thailand general manager Rerngrith Jindaporn
• PHD Thailand managing director Nuvee Pongsathidporn, who will continue to oversee the agency alongside general manager Chaivut Eiamvuthikorn
• OMG Thailand CFO Noppadol Vetvoranich
• Head of trading and investment Nannapat Chotrattanakarn
• Head of insights and marcom Pittayaphan Sriweawnetr
• Head of people Waridda Burapathana

"This new leadership bench is highly talented and this structure provides a cornerstone for OMG Thailand to build upon and create future-facing solutions for our clients,” said Rochelle Chhaya, CEO, Omnicom Media Group Thailand.

OMG Thailand’s current clients in Thailand include Diageo, Beiersdorf, LG, and Suntory.
