OMD Malaysia wins Resorts World Genting account

KUALA LUMPUR - Following a prolonged competitive pitch involving nine agencies, OMD Malaysia has won the Resorts World Genting global media account, effective immediately.

The account, estimated at more than US$5 million, was previously held by Publicis Groupe's MediaVest Malaysia. 

Following its appointment, OMD Malaysia will be responsible for the resort's offline and online media business in Malaysia and worldwide, with digital a "huge focus going forward", said Margaret Lim, managing director, OMD Malaysia. 

Andreas Vogiatzakis, CEO of Omnicom Media Group Malaysia, said OMD won the account with its "strategic orientation and in-depth knowledge of the industry".
