Ogilvy restructures operations

HONG KONG - Ogilvy & Mather has combined its Hong Kong and regional operation, a move that sees Joseph Wang (pictured), Shanghai and Southern China chairman and CEO, shift to a vice-chairman role, leading the Disney and Rolex businesses.

As part of the integration, Ogilvy & Mather group MD South China Royce Yuen has been promoted to a country-level role as group chairman and Adam O’Conor to MD. Client services director Gladys Wong, meanwhile, has been named general manager.

The integration sees Hong Kong become the third largest advertising office within the Ogilvy network in Asia-Pacific after mainland China and India.
