The Windows Live Sharing service was launched last January, which offers online users new services such as Skydrive (online storage and sharing space for photos and files of up to 25 gigabyte), Spaces (blogging service), Hotmail - access to multiple email accounts including Yahoo, gmail, Netvigator, and “What’s new feed” which aggregate links to content on social networking services like Flickr and Twitter.
Microsoft has also signed an agreement with Facebook, which the Windows Live Sharing service will link to in coming few months.
MSN Messenger has the 2.1 millions users, the largest audience of all Windows Live services.
“Currently communication services and social networking sites are very fragmented, where different services keep users online for different activities,” said William Lai, business director, Microsoft Advertising Hong Kong. “We have resolved this problem and marketers can now tap those online users through Windows Live Sharing service instead of running marketing campaigns in different sites.”
The whole campaign which includes direct mailing (DM), eDM and a new website http://advertising.hk.msn.com/ is created by MRM starting April 7.
