Mazda Australia appoints digital agency

MELBOURNE - Mazda Australia has appointed igloo as its digital agency-of-record following a five-way pitch that began in April.

Mazda Australia appoints digital agency
A spokeswoman for igloo, which replaces incumbent Bullseye, said this is the first time Mazda would be working with the agency. She added that igloo has not been contracted for a specified amount of time as “Mazda is looking to foster a longer and ongoing relationship” with an agency.

According to the agency, igloo’s focus will be on Mazda’s small-car category, for which it will look to deliver next-generation digital solutions to expand Mazda’s customer base to a new generation of audiences.

Mazda is Australia’s top-selling full-line importer of motor vehicles, accounting for over eight per cent of the Australian market, the agency noted in a release. The Mazda3 is the country’s highest-selling small car and number-two passenger car overall.
