HEADLINES: Japanese film distributor hands FCB $8m account

Film distributor Gaga Communications has appointed FCB to handle strategy and media assignments in Japan after the agency recently poached the incumbent team from BBDO/I&S. There was no pitch for the account, which has estimated billings of about US$8 million for this year. Creative will be handled by an in-house unit at Gaga. The company distributes up to 30 films annually in Japan, including major Hollywood movies.
