MANILA - Globe Telecom, the second largest telecom player in the Philippines, has handed creative duties for a soon-to-be-launched service to JimenezBasic after a pitch involving Globe's three roster agencies.

The Publicis Groupe agency takes on the brief - which remains confidential - ahead of McCann sister shop Harrison Communications and TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno Advertising.

Globe Telecom provides fixed-line and mobile services and recently tied up with Apple to bring the 3G iPhone to the Philippines later this year.
