Invoxia NVX 610 calls up the iPhone to redefine the landline

Invoxia is reinventing the telephone. That’s the idea behind its first model, the NVX 610. It’s got looks that owe more than a nod to Apple’s clean, modern industrial design templates; fittingly, then, the interface is controlled almost entirely by Apple’s iPhone.

The Invoxia is a desktop IP phone at heart, but it also integrates your iPhone's controls and contacts, bringing your work and personal contacts together in one place. And that place isn’t just a pretty bit of design. The unit houses eight speakers and eight microphones that give intelligent stereo imaging to conference calls and work to cancel background noise.  Read more...

Fujitsu unveils the Arrows Tab, a waterproof Android tablet

Not to be outdone by the other water-defying android device announced today, Fujitsu has taken the wraps off their very own splashproof offering. The 10.1in Honeycomb-toting tablet is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and also manages to squeeze in 16GB of storage, a microSD slot and a CMOS camera to boot.

We’re not sure just how waterproof the shiny slate is as of yet, but we’d be more than happy if it could survive the all-too-frequent coffee spill that has dragged many a gadget to its watery grave in the past.  Read more...

HTC untethers a Titan

It’s been all quiet on the Windows Phone front for a while now – but HTC has just broken the Microsoft-flavoured smartphone silence with a 4.7in monster called the Titan.

Taking the same name as a QWERTY-packing TyTN from 2006 (albeit spelled correctly this time) the new Titan leads Windows Phone’s fight against Android and iOS with a second-gen 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor pushing pixels to the 480 x 800px touchscreen. That’s the same engine found in the Flyer, so you can expect it to be pretty nippy.  Read more...

Toshiba announces the razor thin 10.1in AT200

What’s thinner than an iPad 2 and runs Android? Until an hour ago the answer would have been Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 7.7 at 7.9mm thick, but Toshiba has just slotted in to pole position with the recently announced AT200 (Excite) tablet which measures in at a wafer thin 7.7mm and weighs just 558g.

The device will be rocking Honeycomb straight out of the gate and features a 10.1in 1,280 x 800px screen and up to 64GB of storage, with a reported battery life of 8 hours. The 1.4GHz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM should keep things running smoothly while a 5MP rear camera and front-facing video conferencing camera take care of imaging desires.  Read more...

Sony Ericsson reveals the Xperia Arc S

Sony Ericsson has revealed the Xperia Arc as the latest in a long list of devices to get an S slapped onto the end of its name. No exact release date or pricing info as yet – though a global release is pencilled in for some time in October.  View photo...
