Ranked among the top-five advertisers in the market, Fonterra's flagship brand, Anchor, is the market leader for full cream milk powder, according to local reports.

Its other notable brands under review include Ratthi, Newdale and Anlene.

A Fonterra Brands Lanka spokesperson noted that the upcoming pitch was in view of the rapidly evolving media landscape and the appointed agency will be charged with ensuring Fonterra gets maximum media exposure.

Managed by R3, the review is currently at the credentials gathering stage. Goh Shufen, principal at R3, said: “We are at the early stage of reviewing agency credentials and ascertaining conflicts. Agencies who meet qualifying criteria will receive a RFP.”

Starcom is the incumbent on the account in Sri Lanka. In other parts of Asia, Fonterra works with OMD.
