DIARY: On the spot - Jill Neubronner, anchor of CNN International's News Biz Today

What's the best part of your job?

DIARY: On the spot - Jill Neubronner, anchor of CNN International's
News Biz Today
It sets me up for retirement.

The immediacy of news. If you miss a story, it's gone so you don't take work home with you.

And the worst?

Waking up at 3am and putting on a full face of makeup.

Your all-time favourite film and why?

Any Jerry Lewis/Dean Martin caper. Reminds me of my childhood and makes me laugh. Can't have too much of that.

Favourite book or CD?

Erica Jong's Fear of Flying - makes me look forward to 40's and 50's as woman. She advocates life beginning at 40. Though I probably would not live it with as much gusto as she does.

Favourite restaurant and dish?

Any small dark cosy restaurant - Song- Pomelo Salad - sweet and spicy.

Do you have a favourite gadget?

My Palm Pilot.

Favourite fashion designer?

Can't afford any - If I could it would be Prada's clean, minimalist style.

What are your hobbies?

Diving, reading.

Where did you go on your vacation?

Back home to Singapore and then to a beach on Langkawi.

Who would play you in a film?

Maxine Bahn. The little known actress in Brothers McMullen.
