DDB Hong Kong dual hires beef up creative team

HONG KONG - DDB Hong Kong today announced the appointment of May Wong as group creative director and Clifford Ng as creative director, with both hires effective immediately.

Wong joins DDB from Publicis Hong Kong where she was creative director. In the industry since 1997, she has also worked at Ogilvy & Mather, Foote Cone and Belding, TBWA and JWT.

Throughout her career, her client portfolio has included Mercedes-Benz, Nestle, Sanofi, Pizza Hut, Samsung, Shangri-la, DBS, Coca-Cola and Procter & Gamble. She has several accolades under her belt including Spikes, AdFest, New York Festivals, Hong Kong 4As, Long Xi and Apple Daily.

Meanwhile, Ng's most previous post was creative partner at Caffeine Company. He has also worked with other 4A agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett and Foote Cone and Belding.

His client list includes Standard Chartered Bank, San Miguel, LVMH Group, Park 'n Shop and Caltex, while his 'Hong Kong - Live it love it' campaign for the Hong Kong Tourism Board in 2004 was recognised in travel and tourism advertising awards.

"With accolades from major award shows, we are in a position where we can hire good creative talent, which is hard to come by, so we are pleased that both Wong and Ng have joined us," said Jeffry Gamble, executive creative director at DDB Hong Kong.
