Aegis appoints KH Han as chief executive in Korea

SEOUL - Aegis Media has appointed KH (Ki-hoon) Han (pictured) as chief executive of its Korean operation.

Han, who was formerly chief executive of Lee DDB in that market, will be responsible for Carat Korea and Ion Global, an interactive marketing consultancy.

According to a statement from Aegis, he will be charged with “creating a more integrated offering for clients”, which include Samsung, LG, adidas, Gucci, Tourism Australia, Mattel, KT, ISMG and Hachette.

Han will work alongside Carat general manager Woohyun Nam and Ion Global managing director Sun Young Lee.

In the statement, Aegis chairman and chief executive Patrick Stahle predicted that Han’s appointment would “substantially strengthen” the company in Korea.

Han has worked in the media industry for 26 years. He resigned from Lee DDB in August.
