3M awards media account to Briq Communications in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Leading global technology company 3M has appointed Briq Communications for its media planning and buying business in Singapore.

3M awards media account to Briq Communications in Singapore
First established in Singapore in 1966, 3M Singapore is the wholly owned subsidiary of 3M Company, and markets the company’s major products.

The technology firm is a market leader in many consumer and industrial markets, which include electronics, oil and gas, shipbuilding, automotive aftermarket, construction, health care, semiconductor and aerospace.

Briq Communications will take on media planning and buying for all of 3M’s established products under the Scotch-Brite, Command and Post-it brands.

The aim is to grow the market for these products following a challenging economic environment last year. The full-service agency will further oversee awareness drives for new product launches to incite trial and sales.

On the account win, Pat Lim, managing director of Briq Communications, said: “We’re thrilled to have been appointed on this account. Our in-depth understanding of the client’s business needs as well as our drive and integration capabilities were some of the qualities that went in our favour.”

She added: “With its market-leading products, 3M is a diversified company with a cutting edge in technology and innovation at its core – traits that we at Briq share and hope to leverage on down the line.”

The 3M account win follows a series of new business acquisitions by Briq which bagged media accounts from Singapore Institute of Management’s Global Education arm, Super Coffeemix, Fundsupermart and MTM Skincare in the city-state earlier this month.
