Confirming the news on Stubbs' appoinment, Nick Waters, CEO for Asia-Pacific at Aegis Media, said that Stubbs will drive digital media products and services for iProspect.

“Ruth is a proven digital media and search leader in the region and we are delighted that she will be joining our talented team to drive our search, performance marketing and digital media proposition across Asia,” said Waters.

Ruth’s appointment comes just two weeks after the announcement of Jean Lin as CEO of Isobar Asia Pacific. "Ruth's appointment to the AP leadership team, alongside Jean, strengthens the digital focus of the regional management team,” Waters added.

Commenting on her appointment, Stubbs said, “I am really looking forward to working with Nick. He has a very clear vision for Aegis in the region and I am excited to be a part of it."

Peter Hunter, currently the CEO of iProspect Asia Pacific, will continue to work closely with Ruth to ensure that iProspect remains the leader in high performance search and digital communications.

Stubbs will oversee all of iProspect's search and performance marketing services in the region, and further accelerate the digital media capabilities across Aegis Media's other agency brands Carat, Vizeum, and Isobar.

Stubbs, who was previously the president of Mediabrands Asia-Pacific, will join Aegis Media on 10 January 2011. She stepped down from her role in June this year.

Prior to joining Mediabrands, Stubbs worked at Group M as CEO of Interaction before resigning to replace Jeff Cressall at Mediabrands in April 2009.

Stubbs will be based in Singapore and will report to Waters.
