Samsung brings VR home for the holidays

The brief was to strengthen the bond between Samsung and its customers through VR.

A tearful and thankful Grandma upon seeing the place where she grew up, thanks to her grandson using a virtual reality headset, a Gear 360 camera and Galaxy smartphone—all Samsung products—to document it, is all the 'awwww's we need for this Chinese New Year.

Ad Nut only hopes that the Galaxy doesn't burst into flames like the Note7 did. We wouldn't want Grandma to be traumatised.

The warm-hearted campaign, produced by Cheil China, will be aired on the country's state broadcaster CCTV and all the major online channels over the next two weeks.
