KFC gives away red underwear via phone-linking game for CNY

Campaign by Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong promotes limited edition chicken offering.

In addition to the cute ad above—where a precocious little scamp gathers holiday goodies including a bucket of limited-time-only 'Golden Butter Corn Chicken' for his family—this campaign by Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong includes a mobile game.

Players scan a QR code and place their smartphones around a KFC bucket, causing an animated chicken to run from phone to phone "just like a wheel of fortune", with prizes for the owner of the phone on which the rooster eventually roosts.

One of the prizes: KFC-branded "lucky undies" made by Hong Kong-based manufacturer Chicks.
