Food Republic, the mall food court dining chain, has appointed Hashtag Interactive as its digital agency in Singapore for social media. 

Conde Nast Traveller UK has named Nexus Media as its media representative in Asia, while Elle Magazine has appointed Nexus to manage ad sales for Hong Kong.

Yarra Trams in Melbourne appointed JCDecaux to a seven-year contract covering 1,400 tram shelters, 450 trams and 6 light rail billboards. The appointment also reportedly includes conversion of 300 digital screens.

J. Walter Thompson Asia Pacific appointed Marianne Admardatine as CEO in Indonesia, effective in January. (Read more)

ESPN’s Digital Network announced a partnership with Singtel TV to air clips from the English Premier League. Expanding on Singtel TV’s exclusive live coverage of the EPL, the deal will bring fans dozens of clips each week on ESPNFC.com, ESPN.com and the ESPN app, including in-match highlights, match recaps, roundups and special moments including Goal of the Week, Golden Moment and Team of the week.

Havas Media Singapore won the pitch against three other agencies to retain its status as media agency of record for NETS. The agency will continue to manage integrated media strategy, planning and buying with a focus on digital, social and OOH. The appointment is applicable for a period of one year with an option to extend for another year.

Citi appointed James Keady to the role of senior VP of digital for the APAC & EMEA region.

Singapore's Ministry of Environment and Water Resources (MEWR) awarded Hashtag Interactive a two-year contract to manage its social media accounts, with an optional one-year extension. The contract renewal was settled following a proposal pitch in June 2017 with 14 other agencies including IPG Mediabrands, KRDS Digital, Formul8 and GroupM, according to Hashtag. 

Leo Burnett Sri Lanka appointed Neeraj Karambelkar as digital director. He wasmost recently senior business director for content at GroupM Media India. 

WE Communications was named agency of record for iRobot, handling corporate and consumer communications for China and North America. Following a three-month global pitch, WE were chosen to handle the consumer robotics company's global PR work, on top of the social work the agency is already doing for iRobot. 

Eli Lilly and Company promoted Sadia Haneef to the business unit manager of the oncology portfolio.

F5 Networks appointed Michael Mak as general manager, Hong Kong, and Macau. Mak comes to the app optimisation firm from IBM, where he led the enterprise market and focused industries for its global business services unit.

Y&R Asia appointed Chris Foster as president, effective immediately. (Read more)

Leo Burnett Hong Kong appointed Vincent Siu as director of client services, reporting to Jeff Ho, managing director, and working with Milker Ho, the ECD. He was group brand director at Leo Burnett Hong Kong from 2008 to 2012 before joining Cheil Hong Kong as business director.

Ogilvy Melbourne appointed Susannah George to a newly created role as head of film and content production.She joins from AJF Melbourne, where she delivered work for brands including Holden, Lion Drinks & Diary, Officeworks, and Target.

StarHub announced that Tan Tong Hai will step down from his CEO position and his appointment as executive director of StarHub on 1 May 2018. The Group is conducting a global executive search for its new CEO.
