Naomi Michael has been named as the regional head of marketing and communications for IPG Mediabrands, a newly created role to drive integrated communications within the agency's network.

She was previously the national marketing and communications director for OMD Australia, spending time in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia.

In her new role, Michael will work with the regional leadership and wider global corporate communications team. She will be based at the group's regional headquarters in Singapore and report to Leigh Terry, IPG Mediabrands APAC CEO. The latter said in a release that the creation of the new role reflects the agency's plan to continue to develop in the region.

"IPG Mediabrands has been interesting to watch over the last 18 months. They have a unique brand proposition ‘dynamic by design’, which has been built into the structure of the organisation,” said Michael in a release.
