IPG Mediabrands hires former Nielsen exec Albany Woo to lead regional analytics

IPG Mediabrands has appointed Albany Woo, former APAC vice president of innovation practice at Nielsen, as its head of analytics for APAC. He replaces David Clugston, head of analytics, Asia, who left in January.

In his new role, Woo will report to IPG Mediabrands APAC CEO Leigh Terry. 

Woo will work with the Mediabrands Insights division to drive the group's in-market analytics units as well as its global support hub based out of Manila. He has had more than 20 years of experience in the marketing field.

In a statement, Woo said IPG Mediabrads places data and analytics at the core of its business "with substantial invesment". 

Terry called Woo "a key industry talent" who is passionate about "progressing the industry through advanced analytical solutions".
