The acquisition is the second Havas has announced this year.

Havas acquires social media agency

Havas has announced the acquisition of Wilderness, a UK-based social media agency.

Joining Havas Village London this month, Wilderness will enhance existing the social media services offered by Havas Play, part of Havas Media Network.

Nick Wright, chief growth officer of Havas Media Network UK, will be responsible for the integration of Wilderness into Havas, working closely with Havas Play UK president Rosie Holden.

Yannick Bolloré, chairman and global chief executive of Havas, said: "We are delighted to welcome Wilderness to our Havas family. Wilderness is a forward-thinking business that perfectly aligns with Havas’ unique positioning at the crossroads of entertainment and advertising, helping clients reach their customers in innovative and meaningful ways.

"We are excited to see how the addition of Wilderness will enhance complementary specialisms provided by Havas Play and others across Havas globally.”

Wilderness was founded in 2025 by managing director Tom Jarvis.

It has worked as an in-house partner for global entertainment brands such as Sony Pictures, 20th Century and Universal Pictures as well as other sectors including food and drink, FMCG, travel, fashion and technology.

Current clients include Disney+, BBC Studios, Ticketmaster, Now and project work for Sky Mobile, Sykes Holidays, Heineken and Dolby.

“We have a long-term vision to become the leading social media agency for clients looking to transform how they approach social within their organisation,” Jarvis said.

“The scale and opportunity being part of Havas affords us will allow us to realise that mission. I can't wait for us to get started!”

This deal is the latest in a string of acquisitions for Havas.

In February, Havas acquired B2B marketing agency Ledger Bennett, which it has merged with Havas Business.
